The Revelation of Satan Lies

The Revelation About the Lies Satan Tell

This is a list lies that Satan has told and is telling the Body of Christ, because he has observed the confusion and the lack of truth in the Body of Christ. I humble myself to not knowing anything but Jesus Christ and Him crucified. These truths have come by way of revelation to expose the Satan and his tactics. This little word is powerful.  Webster describes it as; make (something) visible, typically by uncovering it. Now, let’s look into the scripture for our bases of exposing the lies that Satan has told and will continue to tell.

The Apostle Paul told the Church of Corinth; “Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices (2 Cor. 2:11).”  Let’s look at a few words in this scripture, to help us better understand what we need to understand. Let’s look at the word advantage; the Greek word for advantage is (pleonekteo) which carries a meaning of, to outwit, to trick to take advantage of someone through some sinister or sneaky means.  This Greek word carries other forms and meanings, however, this is enough for us to understand that we must not allow the enemy to take advantage of us through ignorance.  Satan does this, to gain more and more control of us and to enlarge his kingdom. It is high time to stop him by exposing him!

Let’s look at the word ignorant; the Greek word for this word is (agnoeo).  It means, the lack of facts; making errors due to a lack of understanding. This is exactly what has happened in the Body of Christ.  Due to a lack of facts or right information, we have errored, and believed the enemy’s lies.  God will hold us accountable to His truth.  It is our job to seek God and the Holy Spirit will reveal to us by way of revelation the truths that are hidden from us. What are we ignorant too? His devices.  The saints are not going deeper in their study time with God, allowing the Holy Spirit to teach and train them to better understand who they are and discerning the enemy’s devices.

The last word for this scripture is the word, devices.  The Greek word for devices is; (noemata, arrives from the word nous).  The word nous carries the meaning of, the mind or the intellect. When it becomes no

The last word for this scripture is the word, devices.  The Greek word for devices is; (noemata, arrives from the word nous).  The word nous carries the meaning of, the mind or the intellect. When it becomes noemata, it describes a mind that is scheming, calculating, conniving, devious, shrewd, sly, or clever. Now, these words help us to see a real devotion to injure or take us out for the kill.  Satan is not hoping to take us out; his plan is to take us out. So, you see, we cannot lay down and allow the enemy to tell us half-truths/lies and we accept it to benefit our agenda.

It is important for me to share how Satan knows how to attack us and keep us in bondage.  He simply does this through observation.  He is not sovereign, omnipotent (having unlimited power; able to do anything); omnipresent (present everywhere at the same time) or omniscient (knowing everything).  However, he has an organized kingdom of demons, and they are sent out to observe the believers to overthrow and abort the plan of God in their lives.  We must remember; when he was ousted out of heaven, he took a third of the angels (Revelations 12:9) with him through his rebellion against God and His order.

Let’s march into the lies under the magnifying glass of God’s word. Please understand, there are many other scriptures to defeat the lie, but for the sake time and reading (we don’t like to read).

LIE #1 -You don’t have to come Church………

ScriptureNot forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching (Hebrews 10:25).

Let’s look at a word from this scripture; forsaking (egkatelipontes) This is a compound of three different Greek words; eg, kata, and leipo.  The Greek word (ek) means out, (kata) means down, and leipo means behind. When this word is together it carries the meaning, something that is out down and behind. Now, when we connect this to us as humans, we see someone who is who is extremely discouraged, defeated or even depressed.

Staying out of Church is a trick of the enemy. He wants to keep you out from among the other believers whose being strengthen in the things of God.  If we think about the times we have watched the animal channels, we can easily relate this to the Body of Christ.  As a matter of fact, we need take a minute and watch the life God’s creation a to help understand our life.

Animals travel in packs.  This is their mentality and how our Heavenly Father created them.  However, there are times when one or more of them will fall behind, because of a distraction, or physical ailment.  There are other ferocious animals that waiting to snatch them from the pack.  Isn’t this what Satan desires to do to us? Yes.  We cannot afford to hang out or away from the pack (Body of Christ).  Instead, we must trust God and not forsake the assembling of the saints.  Don’t let the devil cheat you out of the abundant life Jesus has promised or even eternal life.

LIE #2 – Let’s not talk about Satan, all we need to talk about is Jesus………

Scripture - “Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices (2 Cor. 2:11).”

Please reread what I shared in the introduction about exposing Satan and his tactics.  We must expose the enemy and let everyone know who he is.  We must know his tricks, schemes and how he fights. Paul taught the Church of Ephesus about wearing the full armor of God, because Satan does not fight fair.  As a matter of fact, his goal is to destroy and kill you. He wrote by the inspiration of the Holy Ghost to tell them; “[13] Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand (Ephesians 6:10-18).”

Paul used the dress and armor of a real Roman soldier to supernaturally describe the supernatural armor we are to wear daily.  It was imperative for the Roman soldier to wear his complete armor to battle. It was a matter of life or death.  His purpose for saying so, was to let them know Satan’s goal was to completely destroy or kill them.  Let me highlight a few pieces and show you how it necessary to make sure you are fully dressed.

For instance, the soldier had to make sure his helmet was in place and intact.  They fought with small axes, which was intended to strike them in their head for the kill.  Paul explains that this is to protect our mind and tricks and lies the enemy will bring. We are to be careful about what enters our head and thought pattern.  Our minds need forever protecting from the wiles of the enemy.

Another piece is the shield. The shield had leather on the opposing side which had to be oiled each day, in order for any spears, darts or weapons would bounce off and fall to the ground and not penetrate through. With this in mind, God does not intend for Satan’s weapons to penetrate our life or heart. After all, the shield was to protect the heart of the believer.  Our heart is the seat of our conscience and spiritual life. It needed to be protected.

I will not continue with the pieces of the armor, but let’s not be deceived in our thinking, we need to be fully dressed in all of the armor. We need every single piece.  Through prayer and consecration, we can be very successful in our battles!

LIE #3 – We are under Grace, so what if I continue in sin………

Scripture – “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound (Romans 6:1)?

Oh my; what a powerful question!  Again, Paul tells the Church at Rome and others, we cannot continue in sin, because we’re under grace.  He poses three questions in his exhibition of sharing with the readers/believers where they should be in the Lord.  First question, shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?  Wow!  In other words, he was asking the Church, do you really think you can continue to sin because you live under the grace of God?  His answer was, certainly not! He continues in his discourse to make us understand, grace is not a license to sin. Get it together! Grace is God’s unmerited favor, and it is not to be tampered with or taken lightly. He extends it towards us under this new covenant, because He is loving, kind and caring.  It is not extended to keep us in sin.  Sin separates us from God, grace keeps us in a right relationship with God.

The second question, “…. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein (Romans 6:2)? Naturally, if we are dead to sin after having accepted Christ, who died for our sin, how can we continue in it?  So you see, we have either truly accepted the Jesus who was the propitiation for our sin or we have not!  There is no in between.  If we have accepted Him, then there is no play with sin. Jesus’ death covered our taste, desire, need, and love for habitually sinning.

Third question, “Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death (Romans 6:3)?  Yes, we should know this, because it is explained throughout the scriptures.  When we accepted Him for the replacement of our sin nature(Adamic), we were also baptized into his death.  When He was crucified, we were crucified; when He was buried, we were buried; when He was resurrected, we were resurrected! Jesus’ death burial and resurrection was for all who would receive Him thereafter.  Therefore, sin should not be a part of our life.  As a matter of fact, we should be moving on to perfection(maturity) in Christ.

LIE #4 – Once saved always saved………..

Scripture - “The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God (Galatians 5:19-21).”

This verse and many others is our support to this lie!  These sinful natures and characteristics of the flesh are listed by Paul to warn believers to refrain from this type of behavior.  His warning is very clear, especially after teaching to the Church Galatia about the law.  Some believers were getting the law confused with grace and how they should live as a new convert.

The bible also teaches about apostasy.  This the falling away from a faith or system of belief.  The writer in Hebrews shares this with us; “For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, 5 and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6 if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame (Hebrews 6:4-6).” These scriptures explain the very mind of apostasy.  What else can be said? How can we be enlightened about the truth of God’s word, partakers of the Holy Spirit and fall away as if it meant nothing and carried no power?  Personally, that is an insult! It totally defies the word and its teaching about the power and the ability of God’s word.

Paul further admonishes us, “Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling (Philippian 2:12).”  Once we have received the Lord Jesus, it is imperative to maintain our place in Him through and by all means of Christian disciplines prescribed in the word; prayer, fasting, meditating, consecrating, studying; etc. Our salvation is complete when Jesus returns for the Church.  Until such time, we can fall away from the faith.

LIE #5 – Get God out of the box………

Scripture – “Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Your Spirit is good.
Lead me in the land of uprightness (Psalm 143:10).”

The devil wants us to develop this mind set, he knows that people look for a license to live outside of the boundaries of God’s word.  In other words, he wants us to live unholy, un-sanctified, and most definitely not righteous. We use this phrase too loosely and the enemy desires that we believe it without the true understanding of it.

In other words, the enemy whispers softly to tell us to get God out of the box.  He says, God is modern; He is not the same as days past; He has changed; He understands that we’re living in a new day. Now, I will say, it is true, that God never has and never will be boxed in; however, He operates according to the BOX of His word. People really do not want to be submissive to the rule of God or His word, they prefer to operate outside the rule of His word.

One thing for sure, God is not to be held hostage to our qualms, upsets, disappointments or foolishness.  He is God and His word says, He changeth not!

The word Kreek word for yesterday (exthes has a meaning of all the time that was ever up until this present moment). It describes the past. The Greek word for today (semeron- today, or at this very moment or current age). In the Old Testament the words “yesterday and today” are expressions of continuity!  God is continuously the same.  He has not changed!  In order for us to appreciate the God of today, we must be willing to understand and get to know the God of yesterday! “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).”

emata, it describes a mind that is scheming, calculating, conniving, devious, shrewd, sly, or clever. Now, these words help us to see a real devotion to injure or take us out for the kill.  Satan is not hoping to take us out; his plan is to take us out. Wear the Garment of Righteousness, it Completes Your Attire.......

Wear the garment of RIGHTEUOSNESS; it completes your attire…..

Defined – Righteousness – The acceptance of the one who is righteous

“For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”  2 Corinthians 5:21

“Whoever pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor.”  Proverbs 21:21

We are the final piece of clothing for a victorious life.  This should have been the first piece of clothing to put on, but not quite!  Righteousness has everything to do with our salvation.  Jesus came and died for our righteousness.  It is only through the Father’s love; we are righteous and can live righteous lives. Lives morally correct with right behaviors towards our fellow brothers and sisters.

We are admonished to behave morally correct towards our brothers and sisters in Christ as well as those in creation.  In and of ourselves, we are not equipped to lives righteous lives outside of Christ.  He is the only one who is able to equip us to live peacefully with all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men (Romans 12:18).” It is our duty to live right with all men.

This garment of righteousness is to be worn all day every day. It will help us to wear all other garments properly.  In other words, we must be born again.  Jesus came and He died for the propitiation of our sins.  He died for us and clothe us in His righteousness. We are clothe in Him; therefore, we have what is needed to love our fellow brothers.

Without Jesus, we are as the prophet Isaiah said; “For all of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment; And all of us wither like a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away (Isaiah 64:6).” As we receive Him, our lives become anew and the life of the flesh fades away.

Wear this garment and love on your fellow brothers and sisters.  As a matter of fact, we are better able to suffer long with each other without so many issues against the creation of mankind.  Wear this garment, it is the right garment for your attire.  Your wardrobe is incomplete without it.

Dress for Success in 2017!!!

Wear the Garment of Joy

D o wear the garment of JOY, it brings excitement to your attire……

Defined – Joy – (GK; Zara) joy, gladness, a source of joy.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”   Romans 15:13

“………Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”  Nehemiah 8:10

Joy is our prescription for successful dressing, for Victory in 2017.  I have found that the more we complain, the further we push ourselves back from breakthrough. God never allowed the complaints of the children of Israel to force Him from their wilderness wandering.  As a matter fact, He allowed forty years to complete a three to eleven day journey.  Joy cannot come out of a complaining heart/spirit.

If we wear the garment of peace, it has a way of expressing the joy that is within our hearts filled by God.  The Apostle wrote that it is a peace that surpasses all understanding, and a joy that is unspeakable and full of glory.  “Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory (1 Peter 1:8).” It is when we know God; we are able to receive His joy.  He is joy!

Walking in the spirit of joy is so fulfilling for life’s endeavor.  We have a choice; decide to accept Christ and take on the spirit of joy as it is poured into us as we live for Him.  When trials come, we’re better able to push past the trial and experience his joy. His joy becomes our strength in the middle of the trial, and it is that ability to supersede beyond the trial.

Wear the garment of joy; it brings excitement to your attire.  Joy is exciting!  Our excitement can become contagious to others.  When people see your excitement, they want what you have. Especially, when others know you are not trial free! Wear this exciting garment!

Wear the Garment of Peace.....

Do wear the garment of PEACE, it accentuates your style…….

Definition – Peace - a quiet and calm state of mind

“When a man’s ways please the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.” Proverbs 16:7

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

What a needful garment to have in a day of much turbulence and chaos.  Jesus promised us peace and we can have it, only if we’re truly connected with God.  Isaiah wrote; “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You (Isaiah 26:3).” Connection matters!  An attributive name for God is Jehovah-Shalom, the God of peace.  Therefore, our minds must be connected with Peace in order to have it and operate in it.  During our most difficult times, we can have God’s peace guarding our hearts and mind.

The Apostle Paul tells the Church at Philippi about the peace that surpasses all understanding. “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).”  In other words, our troubles will not drown out our countenance, but our countenance will be that of peace.  It leaves people wandering; who is this God?

We are God’s ambassadors in earth, created in the image in God who is Peace. It is our duty to seek Peace and allow it to rule our heart during the trials and tribulations of this world.  They will come, but cannot be compare to the glory that will be reveal in us. “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us (Romans 8:18).”

Wear the garment of peace and allow the god of Peace to rule your heart during these very turbulent times.  We cannot engage in every battle, but can peaceful during the battles around us.  Wear this garment and let it accentuate (to give emphasis or prominence) who you are in Christ!

Wear the Garment of Thanksgiving, it Fits Comfortably......

Do wear the garment of THANKSGIVING, it fits comfortably…..

Definition – Thanksgiving - The expression of gratitude, especially to God

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7

“Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.

3 for the LORD is the great God, the great King above all gods.”  Psalm 95:2-3

Our thankfulness unto God will bring us comfort in our living for our Creator.  He created us for worship as well as thanksgiving.  We are thankful to Him for making us to be who we are.  He is due Thanksgiving; “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name (Psalm 100:4).” Yes, the first order of business is to enter with thanksgiving. We cannot approach God without a heart of thanksgiving. It is out of this heart will our praise and worship be appropriate or from a right spirit.

Old Testament days were serious times for worship and thanksgiving.  The book of the Psalms is centered on worship, praise and thanksgiving to our Heavenly Father.  Thanksgiving was the order of the people during Old Testament days. David, who wrote most of the books of Psalms, gave sincere praise, worship and thanksgiving to his Heavenly Father.  This was due to Him!

When thanksgiving is in its proper place, we will not allow other negative garments be a part of our dress for success. Where there is no thanksgiving, there will be bitterness, jealousy, anger, envy, and pettiness.  I believe a thankful heart will not leave any room for anything negative.  Our thanksgiving, expresses; self awareness (we know who we are), personal confidence as a created being, trust in God as a provider, confidence in His abilities, and knowing you are uniquely different with purpose.

The scriptures (Philippians 4:7; Psalm 95:2-3) clearly give us the directives about thanksgiving and how it is due to God. Do wear the garment of thanksgiving for comfort in knowing your Heavenly Father and knowing who you are to Him.  He desires and deserves our thanksgiving and gratitude. Our dress should always exude flair of comfort. Don’t be uncomfortable, offer Thanksgiving unto the Lord.

Worship Gives You Style.......

Do wear the garment of WORSHIP, it gives you style……..

Definition – Worship - Worship is to honor with extravagant love and extreme submission. True worship, in other words, is defined by the priority we place on who God is in our lives and where God is on our list of priorities.

"O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth" Psalm 96:9

“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.” John 4:23

This series will not allow me to share all important truths about worship.  Worship is very vital to our everyday survival.  Praise will get His attention, and worship bring us into His presence.   The Bible explains that in His presence is fullness of joy. “Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore (Psalm 16:11).”  Trials and problems will be minimized in the presence of God. Worship brings us into His presence; more so His is the Glory.

Whenever God’s Glory is manifested, we know that we are in His presence.  It is in His presence that everything bad shrinks, disappear, line up, and make good and so much more.  Worship brings us into such a place until we automatically experience the Shekinah Glory of God’s presence. God desires our worship and not our complaints. We are to worship Him in the beauty of Holiness (He is Holy!).  We worship who He is; Holiness!

It is as stated before; the doors of the sanctuary get us in bodily, but worship brings us in spiritually.  John wrote the hour would come when true worshippers would worship the Father in spirit and truth: He’s looking for someone to worship Him as such. Only our Father knew the hour would come!

Wear the garment of worship it gives you style. It puts you in first class with the Father.  Only He desires our worship. He deserves our worship. Wear the garment of worship with class!

Wear the Garment of Praise!

Do wear the garment of PRAISE, it is a perfect fit……..

Praise defined - The expression of gratitude for personal favors conferred; a glorifying or extolling.

“Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name.” Hebrews 13:5

“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!” Psalm 150:6

Oh how exciting it is to talk about these garments as I continue my series on Getting Dress for Success!   We have covered what not to wear.  Now, we will share the garments to wear for success in 2017.  Again these are mini teachings, yet enough to share with you about the subject at hand.

We are living creatures created to praise and worship our Heavenly Father. He knew we would need to praise Him, due to the sin nature.  It is in our praise that we are able to reconnect to our Creator.  Our praise brings us into His presence to help defeat the works of the sin nature and our adversary the devil. “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name (Psalm 100:4).”

As believers in Christ, we should desire to be in His presence for His help with the battles we face. When we praise Him, we get His attention.  Getting His attention is very important for our dilemma.  We are all subject to problems, but we are not all willing to praise our creator for what has already bestowed upon us.

Praising Him ignites us to talk about His goodness and sovereign acts of love. It is in praise we tell others about His goodness rather than our problems.  We highlight who He is, rather than what our problems are; this is praise!

Let us offer continually the sacrifice of praise to God and His word further declares, let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Therefore; when we wear this garment, we are sure to achieve the success needed. Praise is a perfect fit!

Do no Wear the Garment of Envy

Do not wear the garment of ENVY, it is too long……

Envy defined - a feeling of discontented or resentful longing aroused by someone else's possessions, qualities, or luck. "She felt a twinge of envy for the people on board.”

“For where envying and strife [is], there [is] confusion and every evil work.” James 3:16

“Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.” Galatians 5:26

As we see from our above definition, practicing or allowing such spirit to take control of our heart would be dangerous for our Christian walk. We were created to glorify our Heavenly Father in all actions, thoughts as well as practices.  Therefore, allowing this spirit to take control of us would not model what pleases Him.

The goal for the believer is to model Matthew 6:33; “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” If we seek the kingdom first, God would add all other things to our lives.  Seeking God first will eliminate this work of the flesh-envy. When we are devoid of God, we gratify the lust of the flesh.  At this point, we will desire what belongs to someone else. Paul wrote to the Galatians and said; “This I say then, walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh (Galatians 5:16).”

“Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another (Galatians 5:26).” Again the Apostle Paul admonishes the Church at Galatia to stay away from envying one another. God is a big God! He has enough to share with everyone, and there is no need for us to desire what another person has. His name is El-Shaddai -God Almighty. “The earth is the LORD'S, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein (Psalm 24:1).”

God’s love for us is enough to help us in a closer walk with Him.  Envy is not something that develops over night; however, it is a spirit that lurks around and take captive of our heart in a progressive way.  We must kill the flame of this fleshy attribute with the washing of the water of God’s word.

Don’t wear this garment; it is too long and it will trip us up from achieving our purpose and walking in destiny. It does not match the garment of thanksgiving!

The Garment of Bitterness

Don’t wear the garment of BITTERNESS, it does not match………

Defined - Bitterness - anger and disappointment at being treated unfairly; resentment.

“Looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled.” Hebrews 12:15

“Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice.” Ephesians 4:31

We are admonished through scripture to refrain from a heart of bitterness.  Again, as mentioned in previous garments, this is an emotional outcry against others because of some type of disappointment.  The Bible warns against allowing this emotional state to take root in our heart.  Once we allow it to take root in our heart, there will be all kinds of issues springing up from this root of bitterness.

“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23).” We are admonished here to guard our heart, from bitterness, wrath, anger, malice and clamor (a boisterous outcry). Whatever we allow to enter our heart will ultimately determine our actions.  Bitterness is an emotional state, and can only be activated if we allow it.  It will certainly spring up from our carnal nature if it is not guarded against.

Again, being washed by the water of God’s word will elevate us from our carnal nature to operate from the spiritual nature as we should. Paul wrote to the church at Ephesus admonishing them to; “That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word (Ephesians 5:26). By this verse he is speaking to the Church (you and I).  The word will wash us clean from anything that will defile us.

Bitterness can be washed away forever! Do not wear this garment, it doesn’t match your life in Christ.  Your life in Christ is much more powerful and beautiful, and bitterness does not match your garments of praise, and worship!

The Garment of Anger

Don’t wear ANGER, too many snags...

Definition – Snag - an unexpected or hidden obstacle or drawback.

“In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry and do not give the devil a foothold.”  Ephesians 4:26-27

Too often we will result to anger and bitterness rather than joy and peace.  If we allow the word of God to take precedence in our lives we will not be too quick to anger. James wrote to the Church and admonished believers by writing; “My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry (James 1:19).”  The key would be to first listen, secondly, slow to speak, and anger will not find itself in our emotional state.

Our anger is aroused through our immaturity in Christ.  Our Heavenly Father desires that we grow in Christ.  As we grow in Christ, we are growing in the ways, nature and person of God.  Only then are we able to keep our emotional state under control through the power who works within us.  This power is known to us by the person of the Holy Ghost.

The Holy Ghost is our helper and Keeper.  He will help us to overlook the unnecessary, and not sweat the small stuff.  He empowers us to mature in Christ, and keep our emotions in check.  Anger, bitterness and resentment flows from our soulish nature and should be kept in check.  God’s word is able to help us in this area. The writer of Hebrews empowers us through the scriptures with; For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart

(Hebrews 4:12).”

The word has the ability to heal, empower and mature us in our soulish and spiritual nature.  Only God can do this for us.  It is beyond our ability and mental capacity.  The enemy desires that we remain in carnal state.  This is where he defeats us and keeps us from the success God desires for us.

Wearing the garment of anger allows snags (unexpected drawbacks, obstacles) to hinder our progress. Don’t wear this garment! Dress for success...

The Garment of Petty

Don’t wear PETTY, it is too tight on you………………..

Petty Defined - having or showing narrow ideas, interests, etc.  petty minds. mean or ungenerous in small or trifling things: a petty person; showing or caused by meanness of spirit: a petty revenge

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2

“Casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.” 2 Corinthians 10:5

As believers in Christ Jesus, empowered by the Spirit of Christ, we are to practice walking in the spirit to not fulfill the lust thereof.  As we sojourn in this strange land, our goal is to be like Christ.  We cannot entertain the spirits of this world.  Any mind other than the mind of Christ is of this world. Apostle Paul wrote to the Church at Philippi and said; “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus             (Philippians 2:5).”

We are admonished to not conform to the patterns of this world as the Apostle Paul wrote again to the Church at Rome.  We are told to be transformed by renewing our minds in the word of God.  We have too many people saying they believe, but have no root system for belief.  Matthew proclaimed; “This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me (Matthew 14:8).” Except we have a root system, we will continue to conform to the world.

Review:  Do not entertain the spirits of this world.  Anything that is not the mind of Christ is the mind of the world.  We cannot conform to the ways of the world. Lastly, whenever Satan brings us worldly mind sets, carnal mindsets, or demonic mindsets, we are told to cast it down.  Cast down every argument, and every high things (demonic) that exalt itself against the knowledge of God. Tell your mind to line up with what you read, learn and know about Jesus and who we are in HIM.

The Garment of Jealousy

Do not wear JEALOUSY, it does not fit……….

Jealousy defined - jealous resentment against a rival, a person enjoying success or advantage

You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere humans? 1 Corinthians 3:3

Anger is cruel and fury overwhelming, but who can stand before jealousy? Proverbs 27:4

The Bible speaks of jealousy in both positive and negative ways.  The Apostle Paul dealt with the issue of jealousy among the Corinthians and he wrote to them to address the issue.  His goal in writing was to inform, teach and empower believers to live from a heavenly perspective rather than earthly.  This is why he addressed the question in chapter 1 of 1 Corinthians 3:3; “Are you not wordily?” In other words when we operate from the heavenly perspective, jealousy would not be named among us.

Solomon writes to help us understand how powerful jealousy can be.  Who can stand against it?  There are cases where people have gone to extremes when operating in this spirit.  It is indeed a spirit.  . Numbers 5:14 (MEV) talks about an actual demonic spirit called jealousy, it reads, "If the spirit of jealousy comes on him and he is jealous of his wife." This jealousy is fused by a Satan spirit which will be out of control outside of kingdom living. It is dangerous, yet it can be control or dismissed.

In a positive sense, God is a jealous God and His name is jealous! “For you shall not worship any other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God-- (Exodus 34:14) This type of jealousy seen in old Testament scripture is very different than the humanistic type.  The Hebrew and Greek word used is different in meaning. God is jealous for our relationship with Him, which is good!
