Wear the Garment of Thanksgiving, it Fits Comfortably......
Do wear the garment of THANKSGIVING, it fits comfortably…..
Definition – Thanksgiving - The expression of gratitude, especially to God
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7
“Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.
3 for the LORD is the great God, the great King above all gods.” Psalm 95:2-3
Our thankfulness unto God will bring us comfort in our living for our Creator. He created us for worship as well as thanksgiving. We are thankful to Him for making us to be who we are. He is due Thanksgiving; “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name (Psalm 100:4).” Yes, the first order of business is to enter with thanksgiving. We cannot approach God without a heart of thanksgiving. It is out of this heart will our praise and worship be appropriate or from a right spirit.
Old Testament days were serious times for worship and thanksgiving. The book of the Psalms is centered on worship, praise and thanksgiving to our Heavenly Father. Thanksgiving was the order of the people during Old Testament days. David, who wrote most of the books of Psalms, gave sincere praise, worship and thanksgiving to his Heavenly Father. This was due to Him!
When thanksgiving is in its proper place, we will not allow other negative garments be a part of our dress for success. Where there is no thanksgiving, there will be bitterness, jealousy, anger, envy, and pettiness. I believe a thankful heart will not leave any room for anything negative. Our thanksgiving, expresses; self awareness (we know who we are), personal confidence as a created being, trust in God as a provider, confidence in His abilities, and knowing you are uniquely different with purpose.
The scriptures (Philippians 4:7; Psalm 95:2-3) clearly give us the directives about thanksgiving and how it is due to God. Do wear the garment of thanksgiving for comfort in knowing your Heavenly Father and knowing who you are to Him. He desires and deserves our thanksgiving and gratitude. Our dress should always exude flair of comfort. Don’t be uncomfortable, offer Thanksgiving unto the Lord.
