The Garment of Petty

Don’t wear PETTY, it is too tight on you………………..

Petty Defined - having or showing narrow ideas, interests, etc.  petty minds. mean or ungenerous in small or trifling things: a petty person; showing or caused by meanness of spirit: a petty revenge

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2

“Casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.” 2 Corinthians 10:5

As believers in Christ Jesus, empowered by the Spirit of Christ, we are to practice walking in the spirit to not fulfill the lust thereof.  As we sojourn in this strange land, our goal is to be like Christ.  We cannot entertain the spirits of this world.  Any mind other than the mind of Christ is of this world. Apostle Paul wrote to the Church at Philippi and said; “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus             (Philippians 2:5).”

We are admonished to not conform to the patterns of this world as the Apostle Paul wrote again to the Church at Rome.  We are told to be transformed by renewing our minds in the word of God.  We have too many people saying they believe, but have no root system for belief.  Matthew proclaimed; “This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me (Matthew 14:8).” Except we have a root system, we will continue to conform to the world.

Review:  Do not entertain the spirits of this world.  Anything that is not the mind of Christ is the mind of the world.  We cannot conform to the ways of the world. Lastly, whenever Satan brings us worldly mind sets, carnal mindsets, or demonic mindsets, we are told to cast it down.  Cast down every argument, and every high things (demonic) that exalt itself against the knowledge of God. Tell your mind to line up with what you read, learn and know about Jesus and who we are in HIM.
